This role requires extensive hands‑on experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting GC‑MS and GC‑MS/MS instrumentation across multiple EPA and client‑specific methods, including but not limited to EPA Methods 8270 and 625.</p><p>The Senior Analyst is expected to maintain productivity under demanding turnaround times, independently resolve technical challenges, ensure strict regulatory compliance, and contribute to method expansion, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.</p><p><strong>Hourly Rate: $30</strong></p><h4><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></h4><h4><strong>Instrument Operation &amp; Regulatory Compliance</strong></h4><ul><li>Ensure full compliance with EPA, state, client, and accreditation requirements</li><li>Evaluate and trend QA/QC metrics, including internal standards, surrogates, blanks, LCS, MS/MSD, and calibration criteria</li><li>Identify non‑conformances and initiate corrective actions in collaboration with QA and Laboratory Operations</li><li>Support regulatory audits, client assessments, and data package reviews</li><li>Assist with SOP updates, technical deviations, and continuous improvement initiatives</li></ul><h4><strong>Method Development &amp; This position is Part Time - Saturday and Sundays only (0700-1600).</p><h4><strong>Specific Responsibilities:</strong></h4><ul><li>Will be driving in assigned territories as directed by supervisor and picking-up samples and delivering them to Middletown Office or Regional Service Center.</li><li>Provide ALS clients with all necessary sampling activities, sample pick-ups and drop-offs.</li><li>Communicate recurring bottles orders and directions to Field Services Coordinator to be placed in the scheduling program.</li><li>Submit recurring bottles order and directions to the Field Services Coordinator to be placed in the scheduling program.</li><li>Provide a complete daily sampling log in the bound Field Logbook.</li><li>Assist part/full time couriers with chain of custody, bottle preparation, and maps/directions for the completion of their assigned duties.</li><li>Store all samples in a cooler with ice and deliver to ALS Sample Receiving.</li><li>Provide an accurate and completed chain of custody record of any sample in your possession.</li><li>Convey any ALS client requests or concerns to the Field Services Supervisor or appropriate Customer Service Representative.</li><li>Maintain routine vehicle maintenance, including fluid checks and/or replacements; exterior and interior cleaning of company vehicle.</li><li>Ensure compliance with field service sampling plan, assigned SOP’s, QA manual and ALS Client Service Manual.</li><li>Professional appearance and conduct to both ALS staff and clients.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><h4><strong>Required Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities:</strong></h4><ul><li>Current Driver’s license with clean driving record</li><li>Ability to operate company vehicle.</li><li>Knows the region and able to read maps.</li><li>Able to take ownership for meeting goals and objectives; willing to be accountable for own decisions, and willing to give 100%. When applicable load samples on automated instrumentation that has been validated following method quality requirements.</li><li>Perform analysis on samples through direct testing (i.e. wet chemistry). This includes assisting with storage and disposal of client samples.</li><li>Prepare and maintain standards and reagents.
