Watrex: A Helper That Alerts You in Time! Not only in HPLC.

In analytical laboratories, precise handling of mobile phases and waste solvents is crucial to ensuring the reliability of chromatographic analyses and workplace safety. An essential part of this process is monitoring the levels of these liquids. The Watrex Liquid Sensing System LSS-205 offers a revolutionary solution that automates this task and reduces the risk of errors caused by human factors.

Price: 578 € ex VAT

Using the LSS-205

The Watrex LSS-205 is a universal device designed to monitor liquid levels in any analytical system. The device is equipped with non-contact level sensors that do not require immersion in the liquid. These sensors are installed on the external surface of a non-metallic container, allowing them to be used on containers of virtually any shape and size. This effectively monitors both the solvent supply to the system and the condition of the waste solvent containers.

Functionality and Signaling

The central unit of the LSS-205 can process signals from up to five level sensors simultaneously. Each of these sensors can be individually configured to trigger an alarm when the absence or presence of liquid is detected. When a deviation from the normal state is detected, this information is immediately indicated optically on the central unit. The optical signal is further supported by an acoustic alert, ensuring that the operator is promptly informed of the issue.

Components and Connectivity

The basic LSS-205 set includes not only the central unit and sensor but also an external optical signal, which uses color coding (green/red) for easy navigation. For more demanding environments where a standard alarm might go unnoticed, a loud siren is available as an optional feature. The device is also equipped with a microUSB connector for PC connection, allowing easy integration with other laboratory systems and more sophisticated liquid level record management.

Conclusion

The Watrex Liquid Sensing System LSS-205 represents a key tool for modern laboratories that require a high level of control and automation in liquid handling for chromatographic systems. With its universal application, flexible sensors, and efficient signaling, it not only simplifies daily operations but also increases the safety and reliability of analytical processes. This system is an ideal choice for laboratories looking to minimize error risks and improve operational efficiency.
