GC and GC/MS Webinars: Use of SPME technique (32)
Solid Phase Microextraction (SPME) is a simple and inexpensive sample extraction technique not only in gas chromatography, which can reach very low limits of detection of trace organic compounds. SPME is thus widely used and is often the most preferred technique for many applications.
LabRulez: Overview of SPME webinars
SPME is a method of sample preparation/extraction without the need for classical use of solvents, the principle of which is the exposure of a chemically coated fiber to a gaseous or liquid sample or the fiber is placed in an enclosed space above the sample (headspace). Depending on their chemical nature and type of SPME, the analytes are adsorbed and then most often injected directly into the chromatograph itself.
Mezi běžné techniky využívající kromě klasického vlákna (SPME), patří také SPME Arrow s vyyší kapacitou fáze nebo SBSE se sorbentem na tyčince pro primárně kapalné vzorky.
Common techniques using conventional fiber (SPME) also include SPME Arrow with higher phase capacity or SBSE with sorbent on a stir bar for primarily liquid samples.
