The Synthesis and Analysis of Drugs conference is an annual event, traditionally held alternately in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, with a history dating back to 1971. The conference covers a wide range of topics within pharmaceutical chemistry and analysis, including related fields such as biochemistry, pharmacology, molecular biology, bioorganic, and bioinorganic chemistry, among other relevant disciplines.
The program features lectures, workshops, and poster presentations. Attendees have a unique opportunity to share their knowledge, learn from, and be inspired by leading researchers in the field. The conference attracts a predominantly Czech and Slovak audience, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange within the region.
This year’s event will take place from September 17-19, 2025, in the picturesque town of Kurdějov, located in South Moravia. The venue, Hotel Kurdějov, provides an ideal setting for professional gatherings, offering fine dining experiences, excellent wine, as well as options for indoor sports and wellness facilities.
MAIN TOPICS OF THE CONFERENCE
- Development of new synthetic and analytical methods for preparing bioactive compounds and studying their physicochemical properties
- Methods for testing the biological activity of chemical compounds
- Total synthesis of biologically active compounds
- Isolation and structural analysis of natural substances
- Pharmacology and toxicology of natural products
- Organic synthesis
Through the BioPharma Hub project, the Faculty of Pharmacy is exploring options for equipping new instrumental laboratories, clean rooms, and other educational and research spaces. We see this conference as a valuable networking opportunity for fostering connections between academia and industry.
