The Multidimensional Chromatography (MDC) Workshop

<p><strong>The Multidimensional Chromatography (MDC) Workshop draws experts in this exciting field to share and discuss their research. The informal workshop also provides an excellent opportunity for those interested in multidimensional chromatography to learn more about this unique analytical technique. Research topics include advancements in multidimensional chromatography technology and applications of this highly selective chromatographic approach.</strong></p>

<p>The first 9 editions of this workshop took place at <strong>Ministry of Environment and Climate Change in Toronto</strong>, Canada. They were organized by <strong>Prof. Eric Reiner</strong>. The workshop developed from a small group of <strong>experts brainstorming about multidimensional chromatography challenges</strong> to a vast workshop allowing the sharing of important work and networking between experts and users in the field. </p>
<p><strong>The 10th workshop was held in Liege</strong>, Belgium at <strong>the University of Liege</strong>. For the first time, focus group discussions were held on major topics to discuss the major challenges in the field. <strong>The 11th workshop took place in Honolulu at Chaminade University</strong>. It was again an opportunity to discuss the upcoming developments in the field. </p>
<p><strong>The 12th and 13th workshops took place virtually</strong> due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These versions of the workshop were exciting because they incorporated the first poster sessions ever to take place. In 2021 and until present, <strong>two student poster awards</strong> were initiated in <a href="https://gcms.labrulez.com/library?instrumentationItems=2"><strong>Multidimensional GC</strong></a> and <a href="https://lcms.labrulez.com/library?instrumentationItems=39"><strong>Multidimensional LC</strong></a> sponsored by the ACS Subdivision of Chromatography and Separations Chemistry (SCSC), which continues to present. In 2022 only, a poster award was also given for Industry Research and Development by CerTech.</p>
<p><strong>The 14th MDCW in 2023</strong> was held in person <strong>in Liege</strong>, Belgium and incorporated a live stream option. Notable events in 2023 included the first in-person poster session and the first session held on ASTM method development for GCxGC methods.</p>
<p>The Multidimensional Chromatography Workshop has a reputation for incorporating new and exciting activities within the conference each year. <strong>The 15th MDCW</strong> will be no exception to that trend. We hope to see you in person <strong>in Los Angeles</strong> to celebrate our first ever West Coast version of the conference!</p>

<h3><strong>MSACL - The Association for Mass Spectrometry &amp; Advances in the Clinical Lab</strong></h3>
<p>MSACL is committed to the advancement of mass spectrometry and other advanced technologies, including data science, in the clinical laboratory through education and training of practitioners, physicians, laboratory scientists, industrial scientists, and health care professionals involved in patient care and management. MSACL supports the development of new technologies to be used in laboratory medicine; including diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of clinical disorders.</p>
<p>MSACL was incorporated in May 2009 as non-profit and is tax exempt under 501(c)(3). The association&#39;s mission is to further the accumulation and sharing of expertise in the area of mass spectrometry and advanced technologies for use in the clinical laboratory with the goal of improving patient care. As part of this mission <strong>the association hosts MSACL conferences in the US and Europe</strong>, as well as supporting educational activities in Asia. MSACL also supports and manages the society&#39;s Journal of Mass Spectrometry &amp; Advances in the Clinical Lab.</p>
<h4><strong>Objectives &amp; Target Audience</strong></h4>
<p>The objective of MSACL is to support the enhancement of patient care using technology &amp; data science. The target audience includes pathologists, clinical laboratory directors, clinical scientists, and researchers, as well as laboratory diagnostic providers. This programs provided by MSACL are beneficial to healthcare administrators, laboratory quality control and standards scientists, as well as those responsible for implementation of clinical analyses for emergency response due to terrorism or accident.</p>

The Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS) is an international professional society of academic, industry and government researchers as well as developers and providers of laboratory automation technology and tools.

SETAC: The Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry

<h3><strong>Our Story</strong></h3>
<p>SETAC was founded in the late 1970s to be a forum for interdisciplinary communication among environmental scientists – biologists, chemists, toxicologists – as well as managers and engineers and others interested in environmental issues. SETAC was incorporated in Washington, DC, USA, in 1979 and soon grew to be a global entity.</p>
<p>SETAC is concerned about global environmental issues and is committed to <a href="https://www.setac.org/?page=Mission"><strong>Environmental Quality Through Science®</strong></a>. SETAC takes a multidisciplinary, multistakeholder and science-based approach to identifying solutions for environmental challenges. Because of its approach, SETAC’s development and the growth of the environmental movement are closely associated.</p>
<p>SETAC’s growth from SETAC North America has been marked by the establishment of Geographic Units around the world: SETAC Europe in 1989, SETAC Asia-Pacific in 1997, SETAC Latin America in 1999 and SETAC Africa in 2012, as well as regional chapters and branches at the more local level. </p>
<p>A unique strength of SETAC is its commitment to balance the scientific interests of government, academia and business. The society&#39;s <a href="https://www.setac.org/?page=Mission"><strong>by-laws</strong></a> mandate equal representation from these three sectors for officers, World Council, Geographic Unit boards of directors and councils, and committee members and governance of activities. The proportion of members from each of the three sectors has remained nearly equal over the years.</p>

<p>SETAC was established in 1979 and soon grew to be a global entity with geographic units in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America. Thus, SETAC became the global home to environmental professionals from around the world while meeting the needs of individual scientists at the local and regional levels. SETAC programs include <a href="https://www.setac.org/publish-with-setac.html"><strong>publications</strong></a> (such as journals, fact sheets and books), <a href="https://www.setac.org/discover-events/workshops.html"><strong>workshops</strong></a>, <a href="https://www.setac.org/discover-events/webinars.html"><strong>webinars</strong></a> and an <a href="https://www.setac.org/career-development/awards-and-grants/global-awards.html"><strong>awards program</strong></a>, which are all supported by members and volunteers.</p>

ISC 2026 - the 35th International Symposium on Chromatography

<p><strong>The International Symposium on Chromatography (ISC) represents the oldest conference series focussing on separation science. ISC symposia have been organised since 1956 in each even year. ISC is internationally recognised as one of the premier meeting series for discussion of all modes of chromatography and separation science with a broad coverage of techniques and applications.</strong></p><h4><a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.isc2026.org/"><strong>ISC 2026 - the 35th International Symposium on Chromatography</strong></a></h4><p>The major focus of the symposium will be on the impact of chromatography and separation science to meet the needs of the pharmaceutical, environmental, food and health industry, as well as science and medicine. The symposium programme will reflect these themes and highlight new challenges and emerging opportunities for the science and marketing of separation and detection systems and methods.</p><p>As an integral part of the scientific programme of lectures and poster sessions, an international exhibition and vendor seminars on instrumentation and services for chromatography, separation science and mass spectrometry will be organised.
