EPRW (The European Pesticide Residue Workshop)
EPRW (The European Pesticide Residue Workshop)

The European Pesticide Residue Workshop (EPRW) is the premier European meeting for the presentation and discussion of the latest concepts and developments in the field of pesticide residues in food and beverages.

Established in 1996 in The Netherlands, EPRW has been held every two years in various European locations, evolving into a key platform for exchanging knowledge and expertise. Its main objective is to bring together analytical chemists, quality managers, pesticide regulators, and other scientists to discuss advancements in pesticide residue analysis and food safety standards.

Scientific and Industry Collaboration:

EPRW is an essential forum for fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and regulatory authorities. Attendees benefit from comprehensive scientific programs that include plenary lectures, oral presentations, poster sessions, and in-depth discussions on trending topics. These range from innovations in analytical techniques and sample preparation to regulatory issues like harmonized European maximum residue limits.

Focus on Emerging Technologies:

With a spotlight on new methodologies such as tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS), high-resolution HPLC (UPLC/RRLC), and other advanced technologies, EPRW serves as a hub for the latest scientific developments. Its sessions on risk assessment of multiple pesticide residues and pesticide monitoring further reinforce its importance in advancing food safety.

Vendor Exhibition and Industry Showcase:

EPRW also hosts a large vendor exhibition where manufacturers and distributors display state-of-the-art analytical instruments and consumables. This enables participants to explore the latest technological tools for pesticide residue analysis, providing hands-on exposure to cutting-edge solutions that shape the industry.

Networking and Educational Opportunities:

The workshop provides invaluable networking opportunities for experts from public authorities, research institutions, food producers, pesticide manufacturers, and regulatory bodies. Pre-workshop training courses offer in-depth knowledge of specialized topics, making EPRW not only a networking event but also an educational platform for professionals seeking to stay at the forefront of pesticide residue analysis.

The next 15th EPRW will take place in Zurich, Switzerland, from 16 to 20 September 2024.
