We are looking for an experienced Field Service Specialist to join our team in the San Jose, CA area. The ideal candidate will work in a territory that includes but not limited to the San Francisco Bay area and western Nevada. Travel outside of the assign territory may be required to assist within the Southwest region.

<h3>FIELD SERVICE SPECIALIST</h3>
As a successful Metrohm Field Service Specialist you will apply your instrument /chemistry knowledge and technical experience to solve customer’s instrumentation issues and ensure optimal system performance.
On-site service may include simple-to-complex repairs, installations, preventive maintenance, certification, refresher training and more.
You will get to travel to a diverse group of labs, meet different people and see various instrument applications at work. You will have the resources to support the client face to face, via phone, email and WebEx. The ability to juggle and prioritize a busy schedule over a large territory and work within a team is essential; positive customer relations, as well as good collaboration with local Sales colleagues and customer support, ensure sure-fire success in this role. Significant field travel will be required.
<h4>Ideal Experience and Education:</h4>
BS/BA in Chemistry (or closely related degree) and 4 years of hands-on repair experience with scientific equipment. Experience traveling for business in the past is a plus.
<h4>Additional requirements:</h4>
Valid driver’s license, stable credit history and successful drug screening. Regional travel requirement will be assigned by manager.

<h3>PROCESS ANALYTICS SERVICE SPECIALIST</h3>
As a successful Metrohm Process Analytics Service Specialist you will apply technical knowledge and expertise to resolve customer’s instrumentation issues and ensure optimal system performance. Assist with on-site service, including simple-to-complex repairs, installations/start-ups, preventive maintenance, and refresher training. Responsible to mentor aspiring field service specialists.
<h4>Essential Functions:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Ability to resolve customer issues (technical, application, knowledge gap) efficiently and effectively using technical knowledge and expertise.
</li>
<li>Develops and maintains solid customer relationships; navigates and advises on customers’ operational and procedural business landscape.
</li>
<li>Serves as a technical expert proficient in repairing, testing, installation, reading schematics and diagrams, and troubleshooting Metrohm process products.
</li>
<li>Exercises discretion and sound judgment to determine the needs of the customer and provide the best possible solutions.
</li>
<li>Investigates and tracks technical issues with equipment using the tools provided by Metrohm AG and Metrohm USA.
</li>
<li>Uses advanced knowledge of chemistry and company products to mentor new employees, as well as employees interested in process analytics.
</li>
<li>Responsible for proper maintenance of all company issued equipment, includes all electronic devices, company vehicle, field tool kits and equipment test kits.
</li>
<li>Ability to continuously identify incremental improvement (time and cost reduction) opportunities in processes and service.
</li>
</ul>
<h4>Ideal Experience and Education:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Associates Degree or equivalent in Process Analytical Instrumentation and/or four years hands on experience in the field of process analytics. Refinery and Chemical plant chemistry knowledge a must.
</li>
<li>A strong understanding of basic chemistry for calibrating process instrumentation and for troubleshooting root cause failure analysis and application challenges while on site.
</li>
<li>Area Council Certified OSHA Basic Training credentials a plus.
</li>
</ul>

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team. This is a remote, field-based position that provides nationwide support. The ideal candidate will reside within a commutable distance to an airport in one of these metropolitan areas: Houston, Philadelphia/Baltimore/DC, Chicago/Minneapolis.
<h3>BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (ANALYTICAL INSTRUMENTATION)</h3>
The Business Development (BD) Manager is a strategic role that will create long term value from our customers, markets, and relationships. This position is responsible for driving Metrohm technology adoption to accelerate growth in target markets. The BD Manager participates as a member of the Sales team, providing strategic direction and tactical execution to rapidly expand the Metrohm USA (MUSA) footprint in target markets.
<h4>Job Description:</h4>
As the Business Development Manager, you will: 
<ul>
<li>Identify and pursue opportunities for business growth and expansion. This may involve but is not limited to researching market trends, cultivating relationships with potential and existing clients, actively participating in norms and standards development organizations aligned with company key market segments and emerging markets, development of sales strategy and plans in coordination with key company stakeholders.
</li>
<li>Coordinate with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop plans, strategies, and their execution to deliver sales and market growth.
</li>
<li>Capture new business in alignment with MUSA’s technical expertise and strategic roadmap. This includes tracking and planning target market relationships, managing customer relationships, visiting key actual and potential customers on a regular basis, understanding customer technical and functional requirements, and translating product requirements to the Sales and Product teams.
</li>
<li>Develop and execute a business plan to grow Metrohm business across all technologies and target market segments, while working with the Marketing team to coordinate campaigns and develop brand awareness.
</li>
<li>Attend industry meetings to gather the voice of customer (VOC) and market information representing the company and its business interests for the purpose of gathering market intelligence to develop plans and strategies to grow sales.
</li>
<li>Foster growth of company business interests and relationships with key opinion leaders and stakeholders in targeted markets. Must be comfortable speaking to groups of customers and industry professionals to promote the company’s products and interests at meetings and trade shows.
</li>
<li>Develop key accounts, OEM opportunities and strategic partnerships/alliances to promote MUSA sales. Implement training opportunities to develop Metrohm’s understanding and utilization of sales channels, product positioning and market trends, to build and maintain opportunities that support the annual revenue target for Metrohm business.
</li>
<li>Act as liaison and technical expert to distributors and manufacturer representatives to provide technical and sales and marketing information to be used for problem solving and development of sales activity.
</li>
<li>Identify, develop, and execute pipeline of opportunities and engagements to achieve key sales targets and metrics. Document and track in CRM timely.
</li>
<li>Coordinate development and drafting of industry analytical test methods, guides, practices and updates for norms and standards organizations such as ASTM, USP, etc.
</li>
<li>Travel as required.
</li>
</ul>
<h4>Qualified candidates will possess:</h4>

<li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in chemistry, or related field, and six to ten years&#39; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
</li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong public speaking skills.
</li>
<li>Demonstrated skills in sales management and knowledge of CRM software.
</li>
<li>Excellent negotiation skills.
</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
</li>
<li>Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
</li>
<li>Valid, current driver’s license.
</li>
