We can’t wait for you to join us as we continue our mission to improve the world around us</p><h3><strong>Gas Phase Application Engineer</strong></h3><h4><strong>Job Description</strong></h4><ul><li>Assists sales account managers and product specialists to meet or exceed sales quota by providing sales and customers with technical/scientific expertise, primarily in the areas of application and technical support.</li><li>May be client or product oriented.</li><li>Contributes to sales account planning.</li><li>Participates actively in the sales process from deal qualification to deal closure.</li><li>Owns the deal’s technical closure.</li><li>Responsible for meeting sales targets and for supporting sales organizations to meet targets.</li><li>Is knowledgeable of competition and able to identify lockout specifications (identify Agilent's competitive advantage over competition).</li><li>Analyzes customer requirements and recommends appropriate solutions.</li><li>Collaborates with the sales team in the development of technical sales strategies.</li><li>Evaluates and supports management on ramp to volume strategies for new products prior to release.</li><li>Is responsible for demos and for enhancing customers’ experience and satisfaction.</li><li>Provides training to the sales force.</li><li>Acts as the customer voice to influence future product/application design that meets customer needs, including writing application briefs to highlight product capabilities.</li><li>Prepares and delivers technical seminars to customers or potential customers and contributes to recognized scientific forums, including written, oral and poster presentations.</li><li>May also contribute to post-sales activities.</li></ul><h4><strong>Qualifications</strong></h4><ul><li>Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry or equivalent.</li><li>Minimum 8 years operational experience of GC/GCMS.</li><li>Method development/optimization skills involving GC/GCMS.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Great presentation skills.</li></ul><p>Agilent Technologies, Inc. is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
