Restek Corporation: Cracking the toughest food matrices with advanced GC column technology

Gas chromatography (GC) is a proven technique for analyzing pesticide compounds in food matrices. However, recent regulatory changes, including the chlorinated‑solvent ban, pesticide‑method consolidation, tighter expectations for reduced‑volume extraction, and rising demands for sensitivity and column lifetime in complex matrices, are reshaping analytical requirements.

These shifts also highlight the growing need for matrix resilience, extended instrument lifetime, and consistent calibration performance. Together, these pressures underscore the demand for a GC solution capable of not only meeting but exceeding modern detection requirements.

Hear from a panel of three GC-MS and GC-MS/MS experts in this SelectScience® webinar as they share real-world data on how the latest column deactivation technology and unique formats in GC can overcome these challenges. From analyzing fruits and vegetables to cereals and legumes, discover how you can adopt a robust and resilient testing strategy with a next-generation GC column for multi-pesticide testing.

Key learning objectives:

  • Learn how to improve your lab throughput using the latest GC column technology.
  • Uncover GC-MS/MS bottlenecks and optimization tips and tricks.
  • Understand how robustness, sensitivity, and column resilience can enhance lab throughput for multi-pesticides analysis by GC triple quad (GC-MS/MS).

Who should attend?

  • Analytical chemists interested in learning about GC triple quad (GC-MS/MS) method optimization.
  • Food and environmental lab chemists interested in extending their GC column’s lifetime.
  • Scientists looking to enhance their multi-pesticides method.
