Handheld Raman spectroscopy is a proven tool for quick, non-destructive analysis of chemicals and raw materials. While most devices can easily measure through simple transparent or translucent packaging, they often struggle with opaque, multi-layer containers – common in warehouses or emergency response to hazardous materials.

This webinar will showcase how advanced through-container Raman systems overcome these limitations. By integrating specialized optical hardware with software algorithms, these instruments can obtain a true Raman spectrum from materials hidden behind multiple layers of opaque packaging, providing accurate identification without opening the container.

Her work emphasizes practical, field- and lab-based Raman for rapid identification and verification across the pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and defense & security. With a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Britan aligns method design, documentation, and user enablement to deliver reproducible results from warehouse receipt to mission-critical field use.
