Waters Corporation: Empower Tips: Ask me Anything about Ensuring Data Quality by Benchmarking System Performance

Being able to quickly identify the cause of a problem is critical in today’s laboratory. System monitoring is the first step in effective troubleshooting. Routine system monitoring should be performed at regular intervals based on the usage of a chromatographic system. If the system is heavily used, then daily checks may be more appropriate. When an injection fails there is nothing to compare it to if monitoring has not been done.  Benchmarking the system is typically done at installation or after routine maintenance. Empower has tools to summarize the data in visual and tabular ways to maximize your efficiency and help ensure your data quality.
