Thermo Fisher Scientific: Unlocking Insights into PFAS in Food Analysis

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are an increasing concern not only in environmental analysis but also in food safety due to their persistence and potential health risks. As regulatory scrutiny intensifies, accurate and reliable analytical methods are essential for detecting and quantifying PFAS in various food products.

Join our webinar to gain expert insights into cutting-edge techniques, regulatory updates, and best practices for PFAS analysis in seafood, milk powder, and other food matrices. Our speakers will share practical strategies to enhance detection sensitivity, ensure compliance, and navigate the evolving landscape of food safety testing.

Presenter: Dr. Niladri Chatterjee (Senior Scientist, ICAR Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Cochin)

Dr Niladri Chatterjee is a senior scientist in ICAR Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Cochin. His research interests are multi residue analytical method development for residues and contaminants in food products of animal origins, food authenticity, metabolomics, and exposomics applications. His research work has resulted in several peer reviewed publications and attracted grants from several agencies. He is the recipient of SERB Overseas postdoctoral fellowship, SERB early carrier research grant, AOAC India young scientist award, and Young scientist award of Kerala State government. In his current role, he leads the FSSAI National Reference Laboratory for fish and fisheries products.

Presenter: Dr. Dasharath P. Oulkar (Manager, FSSAI-Thermo Fisher Scientific Food Safety Solution Center, Ghaziabad (Thermo Fisher Scientific, India))

Dr Dasharath P. Oulkar has 20+ years of experience in the area of food safety and quality testing and extensive technical experience various chromatography, mass spectrometry and sample preparation techniques required for food safety, authenticity and quality. He is currently working in collaboration with FSSAI to develop new methods and supporting various food laboratories across APJ.
