Separation Science: Automated Sample Preparation for Multi-Residue Pesticide Analysis by LC-MS and GC-MS
Separation Science: Automated Sample Preparation for Multi-Residue Pesticide Analysis by LC-MS and GC-MS

This webinar will feature insights from the pesticide testing program at NOW Foods, where over 400 unique pesticide residues are screened across GC and LC techniques in hundreds of sample types, including plant-based powders, liquids, and oils. The work evaluates the performance of the Biotage automated homogenization, extraction, cleanup, and concentration workflow against the laboratory’s current workflow.

By attending this webinar, you will learn how:

  • Automation of 60-70% of the preparation process allows an analyst to easily and consistently double man-hour efficiency in sample preparation.
  • The Biotage automated preparation workflow can analyze the entire panel of 400 unique pesticide residues and produce results equivalent to manual preparation.

Key topics include:

  • Analytical goals and technical considerations for multi-residue pesticide analysis.
  • A step-by-step comparison of the current and automated preparation workflows.
  • Results highlighting equivalent performance of automated and manual workflows, supported by proficiency testing and matrix consistency data.
