Agilent Technologies: The New RapidFire 400: A Complete Approach to High-Throughput Mass Spec for Drug Discovery to Synthetic Biology

A very lab from Drug Discovery to Synthetic Biology has its challenges Handling more samples, collecting more data in less time are the common ones derived from demands such as achieving statistical significance faster and reduce decision making time. Mass Spectrometers typically lend themselves to achieve higher throughputs but are being slowed by upfront chromatography or sample preparation. Once this barrier is removed there is still the need for a high sample capacity which would allow the loading and running of thousands of samples reducing hands-on time significantly. In addition, current solutions are typically not set up for large sample sizes and quick turn-around times which makes them difficult and expensive to scale.

In this webinar, we would like to demonstrate how the newest generation High-Throughput Mass Spectrometry can effectively address the demands of labs with an increasing number of samples.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to cope with an increasing number of samples using Mass Spectrometry
  • Explore how to reduce batch turnaround times 10-fold
  • Explore the new capabilities of RapidFire 400

Who Should Attend:

  • Lab managers in High-Throughput Target Screening and Lead optimization
  • Scientist running ADME screens
  • Clinicians needing rapid turnaround times
  • Synthetic Biologists optimizing workflows

Presenter: Peter Rye (Senior Applications Chemist, Agilent Technologies)

Peter is a pre-sales Applications Chemist with Agilent Technologies. He has been with Agilent for 10 years developing LC, RapidFire, and mass spec methods on a wide range of molecules. Prior to Agilent, Peter worked in analytical development groups for BioTove and BIOCIUS, the original companies that developed the RapidFire high-throughput MS platform.

Presenter: Kevin Truempi (Product Manager, Agilent Technologies)

Kevin has been a key contributor developing laboratory automation products over the past 9 years. He started his career as an engineer designing and testing liquid handling automation robots to best address user needs in the lab with the ever-growing demand of testing more samples at a faster pace with less hand-on time.
