Synthetic cannabinoids represent a rapidly growing category of designer drugs. If you’re dealing with this class of compounds, it’s vital that you have the right analysis tools to help you categorize these substances.

In this webinar, you’ll discover:

  • A new patented technology that examines the distinct bridge carbonyl band patterns which synthetic cannabinoids exhibit in Vapor Phase IR to classify spectra
  • More about the use of forensic databases in this type of analysis

Presenter: Dr. Michelle D’Souza (Product Manager, Wiley Science Solutions)

Dr. D’Souza has over 15 years of experience in the management and development of spectroscopy software, including her current position as product manager for software products at Wiley Science Solutions and prior to that at Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. She also worked for many years in the pharmaceutical industry after obtaining a Ph.D. in chemistry from Northern Illinois University.

Presenter: Keith Kunitsky (Database Product Manager, Wiley Science Solutions)

Mr. Kunitsky is a leader in chemical information with years of experience in both industry and publishing. Currently, he manages Wiley Science Solution’s vast commercial spectral database collections where he serves as Database Product Manager. He brings years of knowledge and insight in chemical information development with leadership roles at Bio-Rad Laboratories as Database Product Manager and DuPont in multiple scientific roles, including Chemical Information Scientist and Corporate Chemical Registrar. He earned a BS degree in Chemistry from the University of Delaware.

Who should attend?

You’ll benefit from this webinar if you’re involved with drug analysis in the forensic, law enforcement, toxicology, pharmaceutical, and research communities.
