Presenter: Matt Curtis, PhD (GC/MS Applications Scientist, Agilent Technologies, Inc.)

Matt joined Agilent in 2013 as a GC/MS applications scientist in the Santa Clara, CA Center of Excellence. His primary responsibility is focused on providing instrument demos for customer interested in each technology Agilent offers; the GC/MS single quadrupole, triple quadrupole and the quadrupole Time-of-Flight. The variety of different samples submitted to the demo lab provide a unique knowledge of optimizing parameters for different applications to provide the best quality data from the instrument.

Presenter: George Reiner (GC Software Product Manager, Agilent Technologies, Inc.)

George Reiner is Agilent’s GC Software Product Manager, working out of Wilmington, DE. He studied gas chromatography at Virginia Tech before beginning his career at Exxon Research & Engineering’s Corporate Research Chromatography Lab in Annandale, NJ. From there, George moved to International Flavors and Fragrances, Inc., where he spent the next fifteen years as the chromatography group leader and later as manager of new analytical technologies. Since joining Agilent, George seeks and represents the voice of the customer all aspects of GC related software - Agilent CDS systems, add-ons and plug-ins like MatchCompare and Retention Time Locking, as well as customer related needs on new GC user interfaces.

Presenter: John Stuff (Manager of Analytical Services, GERSTEL)

Dr. Stuff’s is currently Manager of the Analytical Services Group with GERSTEL, Inc in Baltimore, MD. He is responsible for methods development for sample preparation and introduction for gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. He develops and teaches customer training classes, gives seminars and posters at national and international meetings, conducts new product testing, and supports pre- and post-sales opportunities. He provides expert analytical support to a wide customer base including, food, flavor, fragrance, forensic, environmental, and chemical industries.

Presenter: Nicole Kfoury (Applications Scientist, GERSTEL)

Nicole Kfoury is an Applications Scientist at GERSTEL, Inc. in Baltimore, MD. She joined GERSTEL after receiving her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry at Tufts University and working as a Research Scientist at the Tufts University Sensory and Science Center. She is responsible for developing methods for sample preparation and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and creating a Sensory Directed Analysis program at GERSTEL. She teaches customer training, supports pre- and post-sales opportunities, and provides analytical support to customers in a wide array of industries.

Presenter: Jackie Whitecavage (Senior Applications Scientist, GERSTEL)

Jackie Whitecavage is a Senior Applications Scientist at GERSTEL, Inc. In Baltimore, MD. She is responsible for developing methods for sample preparation and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. She teaches customer training, supports pre- and post-sales opportunities, and provides analytical support to customers in a wide array of industries.
