Agilent Technologies: Advances in GC Column Selectivity for Environmental, Food Sample and Pharma Applications

Many Environmental, Food and Pharma regulatory methods require GC analyses capable of separating challenging analytical compounds in complex matrices. A good and robust GC method is critical to meet and exceed the identification and quantification requirements of most regulated methods. Choosing the right GC column is an important part of developing a new GC method. GC columns with unique selectivities are becoming essential to meet the separation goals and detection limits required by these regulatory methods.

In this webinar, we will explore several GC column chemistries, and the advantages that they offer to solve challenging chromatographic problems in Food, Pharma and Environmental applications.

Presenter: Gustavo Serrano-Izaguirre (Global Product Manager - GC Columns, Agilent Technologies, Inc.)

Gustavo Serrano is the GC Columns Product Manager at Agilent Technologies in Wilmington, Delaware, USA. Gustavo has a broad background in GC technologies, including experience as an R&D scientist and Product Manager at Sigma-Aldrich/Supelco, where he worked on the development and commercialization of novel GC stationary phases. He has also published extensively in the fields of portable micro GC systems, GC columns and micro thermal modulators for GC×GC applications. Gustavo holds a PhD in Environmental Health Sciences from the University of Michigan, and an MBA from the University of Indiana – Bloomington.
