The analysis residual solvents in cannabinoid products derived from cannabis or hemp, is performed to ensure common solvents used in extraction and manufacturing processes do not exceed action levels defined by U.S. state and other country regularity entities. In the cannabis industry this analysis differs significantly from commonly used in the pharmaceutical industry.

In this presentation, two senior scientists from Agilent will discuss their experience and lessons learned over the past several years for the analysis of residual pesticides in cannabis. Attendees will learn that sample preparation and a novel headspace-GC-MS are key factors for the success of the analysis.
