Restek: Improving Trace Analyses: Maximizing Sensitivity by Minimising Background Noise in GC and GC/MS

To detect traces, the whole GC system needs to be optimised to maximise sensitivity. As noise is directly related to system background, the system background needs to be minimized. Using inert and low-bleed GC columns, like Restek’s Rxi range, can offer improvements but other parts of the GC system should also be considered.

In this presentation, we will discuss the impact of column, carrier gas, connections, liners, injection volume, septa, setup conditions and maintenance to help you achieve better results.
