PHARMA/BIOPHARMA BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Job Description
Responsibilities:

Identify, research and recommend innovative and effective solutions, that will solve customer needs in Pharma and Biopharma for innovation with purpose.

Full understanding and ability to communicate and prioritize customers’ needs, pain points and future requirements.

Remain abreast of emerging technologies, solutions, and trends relevant to the Molecular Spectroscopy business that can help inform strategic goals.

Work directly with PLMX R&D providing market research that supports ongoing research programs in the 3-5 year horizon, including prioritization of focus areas.

Leads or contributes to the development of new projects, acting as the key technical contributor for area of responsibility.

Consults management on critical issues and long-range goals; determines own tactical and strategic priorities.

Engaging with internal stakeholders across the Agilent organization, as well as field teams, for market and customer research.

Create compelling presentations of market analysis and business case to senior management to influence strategic planning.

Leads or represents the organization in major or large-scale projects requiring specialized expertise and impacting internal and/or external stakeholders.

In conjunction with the PLMX product managers and cross-functional R&D teams, contribute to the implementation of the strategic plan, with an emphasis on the Pharma and Biopharma markets.

The successful applicant will bring their experience, customer-centric approach, and market insights to help ensure Agilent’s Pharma and Biopharma business achieves its strategic goals. The position can be remote.
Qualifications

Bachelor or master’s degree in a science subject, e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry or Physics, with demonstrable understanding of Molecular Spectroscopy techniques such as UV-Vis, UV-Vis-NIR, FTIR, Raman and Imaging

Proven track record of turning customer needs into product definitions

Deep understanding of customer requirements, able to identify the customer challenges behind the technology

8+ years' experience working with Pharma or Biopharma markets. Being able to articulate an excellent understanding of the requirements and challenges in in these markets and how Molecular Spectroscopy can support end customers

Strong and proven interpersonal skills, adhering to Agilent’s Values

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
