QC HPLC GROUP LEADER

Job Description

• At least 3-5 years of leadership experience in a scientific industry setting is required.

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs analytical testing that may include the following instruments: HPLC, LCMS, GCMS, etc.

• Completes test records and reviews data to ensure compliance with standards in a routine quality control environment.

• Reports anomalies in data results.

• May assist in validation of methods.

• Maintains laboratory supplies.

• Calibrates or verifies calibration of instruments/devices prior to use.

• Interacts with outside customers or functional peer groups.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Supports and monitors team of analysts.

• May participate in new hire interviews.

• Supports the on-boarding process of new employees.

• Participates in training of other employees.

• Performs peer review of data.

• Assists in coordinating equipment maintenance and calibration.

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in HPLC, LCMS, or GCMS is strongly preferred

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or other science-related degree concentration.

• At least 3-5 years of leadership experience in a scientific industry is required.

• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.

Additional Information

• The position is full-time

• Monday-Friday 2pm-10:30pm.

• A 10% 2nd Shift Differential will be added to base pay rate for 2nd Shift hours worked.

• Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY and the surrounding areas are encouraged to apply.
