From time to time, travel outside of the assigned territory may be needed to assist in other parts of the region such as Mississippi, Tennessee, N. Alabama, and Florida.

NOW HIRING AN ENTRY LEVEL FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

As a successful Metrohm Field Technician you will apply your instrument/chemistry knowledge and technical experience to solve customer’s instrumentation issues and ensure optimal system performance.

On-site service may include preventative maintenance, basic service, and other duties as assigned by manager. This role will be focused on titration equipment with a career track that leads you into more complex equipment and scenarios as your skillset grows. If you’ve mastered the field technician responsibilities, there’s potential to move into our highly skilled field service specialist/engineer role that tackles our most challenging technology and scenarios.

You will get to travel to a diverse group of labs, meet different people and see various instrument applications at work. You will have the resources to support the client face to face, via phone, email and Microsoft Teams. The ability to juggle/prioritize a busy schedule over a large territory is essential; positive customer relations, as well as good collaboration with all internal partners will be essential to your success. We diversify ourselves from the competition based on customer experience so a customer centric and drive to “do more” attitude is necessary.

Significant field travel will be required, including a 3-week initial training at our headquarters in Tampa. Once established as a field service technician, overnight travel is expected to be <25% but may vary based on demand.

Ideal Experience and Education:

BS/BA in Chemistry (or closely related STEM degree). Experience traveling for business in the past along with 2 years repairing analytical equipment is a plus.

Additional requirements:

Valid driver’s license, stable credit history and successful drug screening. Regional travel requirement will be assigned by manager.

Field Service Technicians Requirements:

  • Ability to troubleshoot, test and repair chemical instrumentation equipment.

  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and practices.

  • The ability to juggle/prioritize a busy schedule over a large territory is essential; positive customer relations, as well as good collaboration with all internal partners will be essential to your success.

A degree or certification in Chemistry (or related STEM field) is preferred. Hands-on work experience in a laboratory setting and experience traveling for work is a plus.

Additional requirements include a valid driver’s license, stable credit history and successful drug screening.
