Quality Analyst
The role
ALS Geochemistry is seeking a Quality Analyst to join our national Quality team.
In this full-time role, you will investigate and manage quality matters relevant to our clients.
You will handle client incidents by conducting internal investigations with various laboratory stakeholders and providing clear, scientifically accurate communication on quality matters.
Based in Malaga, this position reports to the Regional Quality Manager, Australasia.
The day to day
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage and investigate client technical concerns and incidents
- Liaise with Laboratory Managers to resolve issues and communicate outcomes to clients
- Analyze laboratory data to identify trends, biases, and quality concerns
- Monitor quality control statistics and support corrective actions where required
- Assist with proficiency testing, method validation, and continuous improvement activities
- Support internal audits and maintain compliance with quality procedure
- Contribute to focus groups and ongoing quality initiatives
The essentials
- Related tertiary qualification
- Demonstrated experience in an analytical laboratory (Geochemistry preferred, but other streams are also acceptable)
- Ability to effectively handle escalations and time-critical issues
- Excellent computer skills, including MS suite
- Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written
- Good judgement of interaction with external parties (clients)
- Knowledge and experience with basic statistics
- Ability to systematically analyze information and identify possible causes and consequences
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
- Demonstrated judgement, creativity, integrity, and ability to problem solve
