Senior Lab Informatics Specialist
Job Description
As a Senior Lab Informatics Specialist, you will lead the deployment, customization, and optimization of Agilent’s informatics solutions (OpenLab CDS server, etc.) across complex laboratory environments. You will act as a strategic advisor to clients, ensuring seamless integration of lab systems, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end implementation of Server client networks and OpenLab platforms in regulated labs.
- Architect integration solutions between lab instruments with Servers and enterprise systems (ERP, MES).
- Drive customer workshops to gather requirements and design tailored informatics workflows.
- Ensure compliance with global standards (21 CFR Part 11, GAMP5, ISO/IEC 17025).
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership in project delivery.
- Collaborate with global teams on product enhancements and feedback loops.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
- Support pre-sales activities including demos, solutioning, and proposal development.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Any degree Life Sciences, Chemistry, Bioinformatics, or related field.
- 5to 8+ years of experience in lab informatics, including empower & Opend lab CDS server network implementation.
- Strong understanding of laboratory workflows in pharma, biotech, or diagnostics.
- Proven experience with Agilent/Water OpenLab CDS, or similar platforms.
- Hands-on experience with system integration, scripting, and data migration.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud deployments and cybersecurity in lab environments.
- Familiarity with Agile project management and validation documentation.
- Knowledge of data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Spotfire).
- Certifications in GAMP5, CSV, or related compliance frameworks.
Additional Details
This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.
