Analytical Tech Instructor

Schedule:

Full Time: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday and occasional weekend travel required

Position Summary: 

A motivated, outgoing, independent person responsible for teaching technical classes of 20 people or less. Classes are typically 3 days per week, and some are 5 days covering both hardware and software supporting LECO analytical instrumentation. Courses taught at LECO headquarters located in St. Joseph, Michigan in addition to the remote offices in Henderson, Nevada and Ft. Myers, Florida.  Travel will be required several times a year throughout the US.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for instructing technical courses to LECO customers  
  • Provide in-depth product knowledge to LECO Service personnel 
  • Assist with extensive training program for newly hired service department employees
  • Develop and maintain accuracy in training material 
  • Must have good communication skills, and be comfortable with public speaking
  • Possess good mechanical aptitude for product demonstrations during training course
  • Help resolve customer concerns, and maintain professional customer relationships

Position Requirements: 

  • Must have good communication skills, and be comfortable with public speaking 
  • Able to travel as needed (typically 4-6 days per trip) 
  • Willingness to travel domestically as required (less than 20% total per year) 
  • On-the-job training will be provided as necessary 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills  
  • Ability to function independently as well as in a team environment  
  • Customer service-oriented personality is helpful  

Education/Certifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (chemistry or technical; others will be considered also), or related military training
