Application Specialist (FTIR - Raman)
This opening is for a multidimensional, self-motivated and experienced individual to support Spectroscopy instrumentation as an Application Scientist. As a member of the Thermo Fisher Scientific Center of Excellence, the candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary matrix team that includes regional sales representatives, marketing and service professionals, product development scientists, and engineers. Primary responsibilities will be to aid and help customers become more successful with their Instrumentation in laboratories working on sophisticated analysis. Additional responsibilities include technical support for customers, creation of customer facing educational and application materials and assisting in product demonstrations.
Responsibilities include
- Provide pre/post-sales technical and application support (Both on/offline)
- On-line Raman instrument development for Biopharma and Chemical market
- Helping customers use instrument efficiently and successfully to increase customer happiness and revenue for ThermoFisher Scientific
- Support customers by resolving technical queries quickly and authoritatively
- Assists the regional sales team account development by technical support including tech seminar, product demonstrations.
- Coordinate product trials locally
- Frequent travel will be required
Minimum Requirements/ Qualifications
- BS Degree in Biology, Chemical, Biochemistry, Medicinal Bioscience or relevant with 5+ years experience (Fresh doctors also applicable)
- Proven track records of application, service and engineering experience with spectroscopy products
- Chemometrics experience preferred; Raman, NIR instrument experience
- Fluent in Korean and English (verbal and written including technical documentation and business communication)
- Outstanding problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong evidence of ability to implement and complete plans
