Sales Account Manager – Consumables – Central Italy
As our next Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible of the success of our Agilent Chemistries & Supplies consumables portfolio, including our GC & HPLC columns, our sample preparation solutions and laboratory equipment.
Your key responsibilities will include
- Generating existing and/or new sales across different accounts & industry on your designated territory
- Developing accounts and maintaining positive ongoing long-term relationships with key customers
- Acting to understand customer needs and identifying solutions to non-standard tasks/queries to creates business opportunities
- Promoting and selling products and/or solutions to current or new customers and informs customers of new product introductions
- Creating monitors and revising lead generation plans.
- Determining and developing approaches to sales assignments to achieve quota/ strategies
- Leading projects requiring coordination with other functions, organizations
This role won’t be head-office based and you will be working remotely combined with travel to customer sites in across Central Italy, especially in the Lazio region but also across Umbria, Toscana and Emilia-Romagna (a company car will be available to you).
Qualifications
We are looking for a motivated individual with the following background:
- University Degree in Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry…) or potentially another Life Science field
- Significant experience in sales to laboratories and good knowledge of laboratory workflows
- Good knowledge of analytical techniques such as chromatography, spectrometry and/or spectroscopy
- Full proficiency in Italian and at least good level of English
Apart from these more technical skills and qualifications, you should also bring the following
- Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently on projects, whilst also collaborating as part of a team.
- Outstanding problem-solving abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and the capacity to run multiple projects at once with efficiency and attention to timely completion.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (throughout Europe) up to 25% of the time.
On a personal level, you are autonomous, outgoing and customer focused. You also have excellent interpersonal and persuasion skills to interact with many external and internal partners. You show a real can-do attitude, resilience and you like to help others. Whilst being flexible and adaptable, you have also strong planning, organizational and time management skills.
