INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER

Job Description

Position Summary:

  • The Industrial Engineer will use their technical and interpersonal skills to assist the Plant Manager in the areas of:
    • Work Schedules and Workflow
    • Production Issues
    • Quality Control and Improvement
    • Cost Reduction
    • Personnel and Resource Management

Schedule:

  • 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday – Friday

Position Responsibilities:

  • Review work schedules and workflow as required to achieve on-time delivery of product

  • Effectively communicate production issues and resolve through designated channels

  • Analyze quality issues and work to implement effective corrective action

  • Work to reduce operating costs through efficient use of resources

  • Assist in the effective management of personnel and available resources

Position Requirements:

  • The Industrial Engineer is required to be competent in the following areas:

    • Communication, both written and verbal

    • Problem solving by detecting, analyzing, and resolving

    • Quality management by identifying areas for improvement and then implementing a solution

    • Project planning as it relates to the effective use machinery and human resources

    • Management of personnel and resources

    • Critical thinking as required to identify advantages and downsides of proposed solution

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering. Study in the areas of machine tool use and implementation is preferred.
