FIELD SALES REPRESENTATIVE - GA & SC OR GULF (LA, MS, AL, AR)
Restek is seeking a Field Sales Representative for the Georgia and South Carolina territory or the Gulf territory (LA, MS, AL, AR). This role will be responsible for managing customer relationships, growing and maintaining sales, and managing profitability in the assigned territory. Candidates must live in the Territory.
The Field Sales Representative is responsible for managing customer relationships by providing Restek’s consumables, applications and expertise for the chromatography markets. This position operates in the field to target opportunities in which to expand Restek’s sales and profits based on a business plan created for the assigned area. This position executes consultative customer interactions to drive long term relationship and deliver “Plus 1” customer experience service.
Job Duties:

Selling full suite of Restek chromatography consumable products (LC and GC columns and sample prep).

Establish business relationships with customers in focused vertical markets in order to maximize profitability in relation to Restek’s annual strategic goals.

Generate and execute a business plan for tassigned territory, including the maintenance and growth of Restek’s customer base. Plan sales activities based on key opportunities and targeted customers. Provide follow up on leads and inquiries generated by ad campaigns, exhibits, and phone contacts.

Demonstrate products, answer questions, troubleshoot issues with customers. Follow up with customers specific to product evaluations, samples, and recently issued quotes. Understand key decision makers at all key accounts.

Utilize CRM to manage opportunity pipeline and document customer interactions.

Maximize use of full sales enablement tools to manage territory and drive activities.

Work together with Customer Care, Product Marketing and/or Business Development to provide Plus 1 customer experience.

Prepare a monthly/weekly report of all sales activities for the assigned territory and maintain expense reports for activities as required.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in business, chemistry, or related science

Minimum of 3 years’ experience performing Liquid or Gas chromatography

In depth knowledge and experience with customer facing interaction (sales, technical service or project management). Selling or supporting chromatography consumables is strongly desired

Course work and/or seminars in marketing, sales, or consultative selling (e.g. SPIN) a plus

Up to 50% domestic travel is required, primarily in territory
