21th ISC ‘Modern Analytical Chemistry’

The Department of Analytical Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Charles University is delighted to invite cordially Ph.D. students of analytical chemistry – and, of course, those undergraduate students of analytical chemistry who are interested in – to the 21st International Students Conference ‘Modern Analytical Chemistry’. The conference will take place on 18–19 September 2025 at the Institute of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Charles University.
This annual international conference is a longstanding tradition designed specifically for Ph.D. students of analytical chemistry. Its primary objectives are to provide young scientists with a platform to present their research findings across various areas of analytical chemistry, enhance their presentation skills, foster discussions and the exchange of experiences, and strengthen their command of the English language. As such, the official language of the conference is English. The two-day program will feature oral communication by young researchers, covering diverse topics in analytical chemistry.
We are confident that the conference will capture your interest and prove to be a rewarding experience. It would be our great pleasure to welcome you to this exciting event.
On behalf of the organizing committee, Dr. Karel Nesměrák

Guidelines for Preparing the Abstract / Contribution to the Proceedings
The conference proceedings will be published, and active participants are required to submit either an abstract or a full contribution of their presentation for inclusion. Authors must use the appropriate template and adhere the guidelines provided within it.
The templates can be accessed here:
- Abstract template.
- Full contribution template
The deadline for submitting an abstract or full contribution manuscript is June 30, 2025.

Participation
The conference is intended primarily for active participants; however, anyone interested is welcome to join the audience. Presentations will be oral and must be accompanied by PowerPoint slides (or similar formats). The topics should focus on analytical chemistry rather than the simple application of analytical techniques to address non-analytical problems.
Each presentation is allocated 15 minutes, including time for discussion. A data projector connected to a local computer will be provided; any additional presentation equipment should be requested from the organizers in advance. The conference proceedings, containing full contriutions or abstracts, will be published ahead of the event.
There is no conference fee for participants. In addition to conference materials, participants will be provided with lunches and coffee breaks. The registration form and manuscript must be submitted by June 30, 2025. If the number of registered participants exceeds 60, registration may close earlier. Early registration is therefore encouraged, although the manuscript for the proceedings can be submitted separately by the same deadline.
Venue of the Conference
- The conference will take place at the Institute of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Charles University (Hlavova 8, 128 43 Prague 2, Czech Republic). The venue is the residence of all the chemical departments of the Faculty of Science, featuring nine lecture halls, modern laboratories, and a library. A fast-food service is also available on-site.
- The conference will be held in the main lecture hall (Brauner's Lecture Hall), equipped with a data projector connected to the local computer. Any additional presentation equipment should be discussed with the organizing committee in advance.
