National Technical University of Athens
The National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), sometimes known as Athens Polytechnic, a university in Athens, Greece. It was founded in 1837 as a part-time vocational school named Royal School of Arts which, as its role in the technical development of the fledgling state grew, developed into Greece's sole institution providing engineering degrees up until the 1950s, when polytechnics were established outside Athens. NTUA is divided into nine academic schools, eight being for the engineering disciplines, including architecture, and one for applied sciences (mathematics and physics). Undergraduate studies have a duration of five years.

14th International Conference on Instrumental Methods of Analysis (IMA-2025)
14th International Conference on Instrumental Methods of Analysis (IMA-2025)

IMA is a biannual series of conferences that started in 1999 and covers all areas of Analytical Chemistry and applications in a wide range of scientific disciplines (environment, food, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, forensics, archaeometry). Leading analytical chemists from all over the world have presented their research work at the previous IMA meetings and shared ideas on timely issues and challenges in all fields of Instrumental Methods of Analysis.

The five last IMA conferences were organized as follows:
IMA-2023 (Chania) | IMA-2021 (Virtual) | IMA-2019 (Ioannina) | IMA-2017 (Heraklion) | IMA-2015 (Kalamata).

For the 14th IMA conference, it is our expectation to bring together some of the most talented and innovative analytical chemists from all over the world with enthusiastic new scientists for an excellent scientific conference located in one of the most beautiful cities of Greece and most popular destinations in Europe.

The scientific program will include keynote lectures, oral and poster presentations. Special sessions devoted to timely topics of Analytical Chemistry will be organized. Furthermore, we welcome contributions from companies, including presentations of new instrumentation, novel applications, and assessment of future commercial trends and applications.

Venue

MA-2025 will be hosted in the Municipal Theater “Kefalos” located in the center of Argostoli, just opposite the Archaeological Museum and at the end of Lithostroto (Pebble) Street. This beautiful theatre is one of the largest and oldest in Greece, built on the same site as the old theater that was inaugurated in 1859 with Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi, but which was destroyed by bombing in World War II.

During the 19th century, the theater hosted fine Italian melodramas and works by Greek authors with great success. Today, in the modern and spacious theater, theatrical performances, dance and music events, as well as conferences, are organized. In winter, it also functions as a cinema. Exhibitions with works, mainly by Kefalonian artists, are hosted on the ground floor. The neoclassical architecture of the building is a typical example of the island’s architecture.
