Natural Gas Analyser B - Quick Reference Guide

Chromsolutions: Natural Gas Analyser B - Quick Reference Guide
There are various Natural Gas Analysers (NGAs) available to cater to different sample types and throughput requirements, whether in a lab, at-line, or in the field. NGAs are pre-configured 'turnkey' systems designed to comply with standard methods for determining the heating value of natural gases and related streams.
They can be customized to analyse additional components, such as sulphur compounds, ensuring suitability for downstream processes. These analysers utilize a proven multi-channel/multi-dimensional approach to determine the heating/calorific value of natural gas and quantify individual components.

The NGA (System B) is a standard turnkey system designed for analysing natural gas and de-methaniser* hydrocarbon matrices. It accurately measures components of interest, such as oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, methane, ethane, propane, butane, iso-butane, pentane, hydrogen sulphide, and C6+ as a composite peak in natural gas. For de-methaniser streams, it analyses carbon dioxide, ethane, propane, butane, iso-pentane, hexane, and C7+ as a composite peak. In the gas method (2261), the composite peak includes hexane and heavier components (C6+), while in the liquid method (2177), it includes heptane and heavier components (C7+).
*De-methaniser refers to the process of removing or reducing the methane component from a hydrocarbon mixture. It results in a product with higher concentrations of other hydrocarbon compounds, known as de-methaniser hydrocarbons or natural gas liquids (NGLs).
